Polarization Rotators are used to alter the polarization state of a beam by the amount specified (either 45º or 90º for standard offerings) by the product code.

RT Specifications

  • Transmitted Wavefront Distortion: Dependent on thickness but λ10 @ 632.8nm over clear aperture
  • Surface Quality: 10-5 over clear aperture
  • Parallelism: <= 1 arc seconds
  • Clear Aperture: 85% of central dimension
  • Rotation Tolerance: 0.5 degrees typical – wavelength dependent
  • Damage Threshold: 1MW / cm2 (CW), 10J / cm2 10ns pulse
  • Material: Synthetic Single Crystal Quartz
  • Coating: AR “V” Coat; R<0.25% per surface

Product Code: RT

  • Performance less affected by beam alignment
